Hi! You don’t mention the platform you’re playing on, so this is for the computer game.
The fact that you can read other types of books is good. It means that the problem is only in romance novels. Here are a few things to try:
- Delete/sell the current bookcase and buy a new one.
- I have heard that Sims will sometimes refuse to read books they have already read before. The solution offered is to go buy new books, or have a family member write a novel for the Sim to read.
- Create a new family and see if they can read romance novels.
That’s all I can think of to do. Anyone else have any ideas?
Hi! Aw shucks, thanks for the compliment!
Good news! It’s pretty easy to enter Create-A-Sim with a simple cheat for Sims 3! Bad news, I can’t seem to find anything for Sims 2. You don’t mention what platform you’re using, so here’s how to do it on the computer.
Sims 2: It used to be possible to use mods, but people are now saying that they don’t work. I’ve never used a mod in the Sims 2 before, so I’m unsure of how that works. Although Sims 2 has a “boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true” cheat like Sims 3, it appears that editing a sim is not one of its functions. Fellow Simmers: do you have any advice?
Sims 3: During gameplay press the ctrl, shift, and C keys at the same time. Enter “testingcheatsenabled true” (without the quotes). Hit enter. Now hold down the shift key and click on the sim you want to change. Several options should come up. Click on “Edit Sim In Create- A- Sim”. This will not work for pregnant sims.
Hello! Thanks for the love!
As for your question, it is possible to change alien eye color. The problem is that it seems to be incredibly difficult and I simply do not have the knowledge to help you on this matter =\ It’s quite a lot of coding and changing the mechanics of the game itself.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Well thank you! FYSG! loves you too!
I couldn’t find any information about this particular glitch, but I believe that since it’s only the bodies doing this that it could be clothing related. Do you have custom content installed? Perhaps custom or recolored clothing? I would try to temporarily disable or remove custom content, start a new town, and see if that works. If it does you will have to go through and test your custom content one by one :( Not a fun job, but one that may have to be done!
As for the vampires being cured and staying pale: were they turned into vamps using any cheats (even just raising the relationship bar with the vampire that turned your sim)? If so, try turning a sim into a vampire doing it the slow, normal way. Then try to cure them. If it worked, you can at least narrow it down to an issue with cheats.
If they were turned and cured the regular way (also assuming that the game no longer recognizes the sim as a vamp. I.e all of the special abilities are gone. If you cure them and they still have the abilities then it’s an issue with the cure not working properly) and you’re having this issue I would suggest using a cheat, going into create-a-sim with the glitched sim, and changing skin tone. Even if it’s not set on a pale shade, still change it and go back to gameplay. Doing this might help prompt the game to change skin tone.
Hopefully that helps! Maybe a follower has some tips or experience with this issue?
When I brought my baby home from the hospital, I noticed something odd about his hands. Turns out he has gloves on. My baby’s fancy!
